Monday Nights Technical Power Skating with Pucks

Dates: May 27th - July 29th
Time: 5:30-6:30pm | 6:30-7:30pm | 7:30-8:30pm | 8:30-9:30 p.m

Location: Campus Ice Centre
Cost: $649.00

Skaters will focus on the technical side of skating by training edge control, balance and mobility, while developing a longer and more efficient stride.
An emphasis will be placed on powerful crossovers, smooth turns, weight transfer in pivots and transitions, and more. As the program progresses, pucks will be incorporated to enhance these skills at high speed, providing individuals with capability to translate these skills to a game.

*As the game of hockey progresses, so does the speed of the players and their movements. This class is designed to give players the fundamentals to reach their full potential in these particular areas.

Please Note: This is a 10 Week Program.

PA Day Camp - Fri Nov 3

Time: 8am-3pm
Location: Campus Ice Centre

Cost: $130.00

Campers will participate in 2 on-ice sessions, dry-land training, and fun off-ice activites. Drop-off/sign-in will be at 8am. The day will begin with Session 1 from 9am-10am, and and conclude with Session 2 from 2pm-3pm. Pick-up/sign-out to follow the second Ice Session.

 

Tuesday AM - 360 Skill Development

Dates: July 2nd - August 20th
Time: 7-8am | 8-9am
Location: Campus Ice Centre
Cost: $520

Players will benefit from a split emphasis on both technical skating and skill development in these classes. Train in game-like scenarios, develop better deception, and gain confidence in your skating abilities with and without the puck. One of the most underrated and neglected skills in hockey is hockey-sense. This class provides an advanced design, taking all the skills skaters will use during a game, and combining them into dynamic drills. This type of training will provide players with a better understanding of the skills they are learning and where they are applicable in a game, and develop increased hockey-sense.

Dates: July 2nd - August 20th
Time: 7-8pm
Location: South Courtice Arena
Cost: $520

Skaters will learn and train various shooting techniques, develop goal-scoring tendencies and gain confidence in these areas. This class will enhance individual’s offensive zone awareness, play-making abilities, and overall offensive firepower.

The game of hockey has become more offensive than ever in recent years, higher scoring games translate from youth to the professional levels. This is designed to instill a goal scoring mentality into players and develop their skills to produce and contribute more often in the offensive zone.

Thursday AM - Defenseman Development

Dates: July 4th - August 22nd
Time: 7-8am | 8-9am
Location: Campus Ice Centre
Cost: $520

Players will learn and develop technical skills, specifically for defensemen. Walking the line and making strong first passes will be one focus, while developing proper stick and body positioning, and gap control will be another. Players will also develop their backwards technical skating and edges. To be the most effective defensive player, skaters need to excel in all areas within a game. This class is designed to create a well-rounded defensive player who is reliable on the defensive side of the puck and who also contributes offensively.

Thursday PM - Open Skating & Skills

Dates: July 4th - August 22nd
Time: 5-6:30pm | 6:30-8pm
Location: Campus Ice Centre

Train the fundamentals of puck handling and shooting. Develop a better stride and gain confidence on your edges. This class focuses on helping players take their game to the next level, while becoming more comfortable and confident in all areas of the game.

Full Day Summer Camp

Dates: July 22nd - 26th | July 29th - Aug 2nd
Time: 8am-4pm
Location: Campus Ice Centre
Cost: $650

Campers will participate in 2 on-ice sessions, dry-land training, and fun off-ice activites. Drop-off/sign-in will be at 8am. The day will begin with Session 1 from 9:15am-10:15am, and and conclude with Session 2 from 2:15pm-3:15pm. Pick-up/sign-out to follow the second Ice Session.

Small Area Contact Clinic

Dates: August 6th-9th
Time: 11:30am-1pm
Location: South Courtice Arena
Cost: $325

Players will prepare for their upcoming seasons by engaging in small area competition and battle drills. This clinic will emphasize the importance of body positioning and players will learn the proper techniques of how to give and receive contact. Players will be grouped according to age and ability. Skaters that are entering full-contact in the upcoming season or are already playing full contact will receive more detailed instruction on how to give and receive hits.
